Grocery shopping is available at the general store at 70 Mile House. For a bigshop, head into 100 mile house where a Safeway and save On Foods awaits you. There is a wonderful independent Grocer just to the right at 99 Mile - top of the hill. 100 Mile offers all the basic shopping.There is a hospital and several medical clinics.

For the adults, there are two pubs nearby - The Dusty Rose at 70 Mile and the Iron Horse at Lone Butte.

There is lots of history in the Cariboo and there are lots of historic sights to visit. Some easy day trips would be to:

Big Bar Ranch, Cross the Fraser on the Big Bar Ferry.

Dog Creek and the Gang Ranch

Williams Lake - Home of the famous stampede.

Bridge Lake, Barrier, Clearwater, Littlefort all via Hwy.24



A Small Bit of Local History

Green Lake is still pristine and we all would like to keep it that way. There is no millfoil weed in the lake and in fact, tests done every year that the water is safe to drink! So don't even think about washing in the lake - Thanks.None of the following are to be flushed down the toilet or put in the sink! Absolutely no paper towels, facial tissues, feminine hygiene products, coffee grounds, fats or grease. Please limit your showers/bath etc. and the amount of soap or shampoo used.

Please use the garbage; there is a recycling depot at the local fire hall as well as garbage should be taken to the local dump by tenants.
